This article is intended for our Internet Satellite subscribers.
The quality of your connection depends on the pointing of your satellite dish. We would also like to draw your attention to the importance of choosing the right location for your installation!
We recommend that you place the satellite dish on the gable end of your house. The antenna should face south, and its view of the satellite should be unobstructed.
Consider how your trees (foliage, branches, etc.) will grow, which could prevent the reception of signals over time.
A satellite dish is much larger than a TV dish. By placing it on your chimney, it will be more exposed to the wind!
The mast supplied by Nordnet is not suitable for this type of fixing. Chimney installation, using metal strapping, should only be considered as a last resort if no other solution is possible.
Do not install your satellite dish close to another satellite dish or radio antenna, or to the outdoor unit of your air conditioning system.
Do not place your satellite dish near people or vehicles, as these will cause unwanted disturbance.
If your mast is too short to receive the signal well, we suggest you buy a new one that is taller.
