You want remote access to information stored on your own local network. To do this, you need to install a VPN (Virtual Private Network) server.
Our NordnetBoxes do not have a VPN server.
However, you can configure a VPN server using the IPSEC protocol, either on a physical machine or using dedicated software. For more information, contact your IT service provider.
You use a Satellite Internet connection
Due to the latency observed on satellite technology, we cannot guarantee that a VPN server will work reliably. We advise you to set the “timeout” option on your VPN server to 2000 ms to avoid unexpected disconnections.
