Check the quality of the satellite installation in the Customer Area (K1 KIT)

This article is intended for customers who subscribe to a Satellite Internet service from Orange Satellite range and have a K1 type Satellite Kit including the Hughes satellite modem, model WE 3100.

The quality of the connection depends on how accurately your dish is set up, and more precisely on how it is pointed. Incorrect installation can lead to a deterioration in the quality of the connection, resulting in interruptions or slowness.

This article tells you how to test your satellite connection from your Customer Area.

Access your Customer Area

  • To access your Customer Area, click the following link: https: //client.nordnet.com
    Next, enter your Nordnet Customer Area username and password in the appropriate fields, and confirm.
  • Your username was given to you by Nordnet when you subscribed, in your Welcome email (or letter).

If you have forgotten your username and/or password, click the Forgot your password? link.

Test the quality of your installation

From the MY CONTRACTS section, click the Satellite Kit submenu.

Click Test my score.

The displayed value is updated every 15 minutes. To make it easier to understand the results, the test is presented in two colours: 

  • Green: Your installation is correct, so you get the best service your installation can provide!

  • Red: Your satellite dish is incorrectly pointed and needs to be corrected to ensure that your Internet and telephone services work properly. Open the Satellite Kit Installation Guide - Type K1 which has been supplied to you and go back to chapter 6pointing”.
